for days when I want to look a little more polishe
I didn’t think a lavender-toned highlighter could look this good on my skin—but YSL proved me wrong. I picked up Lavender Lust out of curiosity, mostly because I was drawn to the unique, cool-toned shimmer. The packaging is stunning (as expected from YSL)—sleek, gold, and luxurious, with a satisfying magnetic closure. The formula is silky, finely milled, and not glittery at all. It melts into the skin rather than sitting on top, giving off this ethereal, lit-from-within glow. The lavender tone surprisingly works beautifully on my light-medium skin with neutral undertones. It doesn’t look purple on the face—it just gives this soft, radiant, slightly icy luminosity that makes my cheekbones pop without looking harsh or frosty. I use it mostly on the high points of my cheeks and inner corners of my eyes. Sometimes I even dab it over my lids for a quick brightening eyeshadow. The staying power is also impressive—it lasted through a full day without fading or turning patchy. This buildable and unique highlighter color pops o
I enjoyed this highlighter. I have neutral tone dry skin, but I prefer to wear cool tone colored clothing. The lavendar luster seems like a perfect cool highlight for me. I also have some deep set features and rely heavily on highlighters to help light up my face. This compact arrived beautiful. The box is shiny and gold. The compact inside is substantial and has a quilted vinyl type top with a gold YSL logo. There is a useful mirror inside the compact that I have not used, but I can see this compact being useful in a travel carry on. I have used the highlighter multiple times with minimal and with full make up, with and without liquid primer. Thankfully this product is fragrance free. I found that the luminizer powder flaked off and scattered powder a bit when I used a brush to apply this highlighter. It was easier for me to use my finger or a sponge. The powder is fairly pigmented, but I found that the pretty lavendar color is buildable as more powder is applied. This lavendar color really stands out on my skin which sometimes does not really show some light or champagne colors. I found that it stood out more when the sun hit the powder than with average wear, but I still enjoyed wearing this and I think it enhanced my appearance. Given that the powder is lavendar, it might not work for everything wear with all make up looks but it is really pretty and I think it can enhance a natural look. I do not think this is as long lasting as cream highlighters I have used before on my dry skin, but it is easy to apply and I like that this compact will last a long time.

Perect shimmer
This shade 03 Rosy Sand is beautiful. It blends in with my foundation seamlessly. It has the perfect sparkle to it! The scent is great and I love the compact! It’s so beautiful!
