Nice fabric and concept but waist too small

I had high hopes for these pants from a trusted brand, Whistles. The fabric is high quality and sturdy and the cut is good but not great (some sagging in places)--but the big drawback is the waist, which is much too small and tight, at least for me and at least in contrast to other pants. I wanted to like these Cigarette Pants, but regretfully will return them because the waistband is just too uncomfortable.
