Just great - Vitamix Immersion Blender

Great immersion blender. I purchased it as I make multiple batches of egg bites just about every week. Using a blender, mixer, or food processor was just messy. I chose Vitamix for the quality and the rubber tips at the bottom of the blender which will work well with my Le Creuset Dutch oven and blended soups. I’m very glad I purchased it. The quality is inline with the price.

Not recommended for the price

We bought this immersion blender just over three years ago. It worked great initially but the wand has since broken. Because we were just beyond the warranty period, repair or replacement was not available. We were willing to buy a new wand but the replacement part is not available in Canada, despite the product having been purchased in Canada. So now, just over three years later, this expensive hand blender is useless.

The storage bag is a fail

While I have been a vitamix customer for close to 30 years, and expected this immersion blender to deliver and so far ao good with soup. (Just received it today) I am disappointed that the storage bag: 1. It doesn’t tell me what fits 2. It doesn’t fit the Motor body, the blender stick, and the whisk. Only two items fit without risking damaging the others item. Wow! O have to store the whisk elsewhere. The storage bag is a fail.

Why put plastic parts on an immersion blender?

Incredibly disappointed to discover the plastic parts on bell guard and wish I'd caught that before purchasing. Plastic is not heat safe. I'll be returning to my less expensive and fully stainless steel immersion blender that won't cook plastic into my soup, thanks.
