Great Dress / Too voluminous

I first purchased the M, the dress is great, wonderful fabric very well made and reasonably priced. The M was much too large, so ordered both a XS and S. The XS was small in armpits, the S fit well through the top but was too full in the middle and below. Was looking for a dress for an event and this would have been IT if it were a slimmer fit!
