Defective strap twice

I ordered these shoe the first time and there was a thick piece of leather and stitching inhibiting the left foot strap from opening so I cannot get the shoe on my daughter's foot. I retuned and then ordered them again. The same occurred with the second pair I ordered. Perhaps I received the same shoe twice. Bottom line is that twice the left shoe arrived with on strap that will not pull through the opening. They are beautiful shoes and my daughter's eyes lit up when she saw the shiny patent. Maybe third time will be a charm.
