bad design
Everything is good, except the back hinge. the material is too hard to handle the opening.

light weight
This luggage has a design flaw that is an embarrassment to their brand. The back hinge on the suitcase is about 5" long. This is a joke and it failed in 11 months with travel about once per month. They replaced it for free with the same defective unit. Do NOT buy as you will be throwing your money away. Always look at how long the back hinge is as compared to other equivalent sized suitcases.

Samsonite Uplift XL Hardside checked suitcase
I bought this and took it on a round trip flight from Portland, to Dallas, Texas and back. Traveled well and was easy to lift and maneuver thru airports. No denting or damage except for a few scratches.

I love my Samsonite uplift spinner
So far my new spinner has taken one trip to Europe, and I am very happy with it. It's super lightweight, but it seems more solid than my last spinner. It packs neatly and is easy to close and zip. (When I was closing my last spinner I had to be very careful to get the top and bottom lined up so it would zip properly, and this one seems much more stable.) I wanted to find a handle that would work easily and seemed strong enough to last. So far, I feel good about this handle. I like that it expands if I need it, but I'm surprised at how much I can pack in it without using the expansion.

Beware of the small size of this suitcase
This suitcase is much smaller than my outgoing carry-on. I don’t know if I can pack a weekend of clothing into it. I would explore larger sizes.
