What happened to this brand?

I bought my normal size in this brand (size 4). The fit was all wrong. NYDJ jeans that are labeled "high rise" really aren't, in my opinion. They don't hug the waistline as I would expect from an item labeled high rise. There was a gap at the waist and the back yoke was not form-fitting. I returned them.

Need a SHORT option like you used to have

I have many, many NYDJ jeans. Thankfully, I bought some when the option ā€˜Sā€™ was offered. They fit perfectly! PETITE SIZING is NOT AN OPTION for me as the rise is not long enough making petite tremendously uncomfortable šŸ˜£. NYDJ are not cheap and having them shortened adds much to the price - not to mention shortening some styles ruins the look. BRING BACK THE ā€˜Sā€™ option. You have many customers who are not tall enough to wear your standard length.

Way too long!

I did wear NYDJ a few years ago, so I purchased them again to find out that the sizing has changed. I am 5ā€6 and size 14, the 14 was so long I would have needed to have them hemmed up at least 2-3 inches and have them altered. So sad because I truly like the fit and fabric.
