I was recently a bridesmaid in a summer wedding, and was looking for something simple but special. This dress was more than I wanted to spend, but loved ones (bride included!) kept telling me I looked great in it and the color was really elegant. I bit the bullet and I have to say no regrets. Never have I received more compliments on a dress. Strangers came up to me at the wedding to say nice things about it. In terms of sizing, I'm about 5'5, a street 6 or 8 depending on the cut. Smaller on top than bottom with narrow shoulders. I went with the 6, since the hips are free in this style. The zipper was a little stiff, second person definitely needed to help close it. I took it to the tailor, and had him lift the hem an inch in the front, and 1/2 in the back, shorten the straps, and brought in the bust a bit. Picture is me in 3 inch heels. The dress hit slightly above the floor. Because of the pleated fabric, hemming it was more expensive than I anticipated, but ultimately I think worth it. I hope to find another occasion to wear it. I felt happy and comfortable in it though the dress was a little warm after dancing! In person the color is between light blue and robbins egg blue. Definitely more of a grey undertone than it looks in the picture I saw of it online. I debated gold or silver accessories and ultimately decided gold looked better notwithstanding the grey undertone of the fabric.

This dress was absolutely stunning. It is more formal than I required otherwise I would have kept it. Fits true to size. I’m 5’7 and 140 lbs. I ordered a size 6.
