Makes a great coffee, but uses a lot of water before and after its coffee making process. For every coffee or two made, the machine purges itself around 1 cup of water. So it's pretty heavy on water consumption and obviously fills the waste trays quite quickly with waste water. Apart from that, 2 months on it seems like a good machine that makes good coffee.

Great coffee, and so easy to use
Had a look at several coffee machines before settling on the Kitchen Aid, even though there were none on display in our town. Very pleased with it. It is simple to operate, quiet, with many features to explore. Pity the milk function does not double when making two cups together.

European Excellence
Bought two weeks and it has changed all my espresso and coffee habits. So many one touch features. Extra milk options. Self cleaning too! European Excellence! Way better than our Breville!

Great coffee
Makes fantastic coffee and we love it! I just wish the draining tray was bigger as you need to empty the tray after about 2-3 cups of coffee. Ideally you would keep the machine at your home near a sink to help with the ease of emptying the tray.

What a great choice we made
We had an Italian automatics coffee machine for 19 years but realised we needed to update to a new model. We looked at lots of different machines before deciding on the KitchenAid KR8. It’s just marvellous - lots of of coffee options and 6 profiles which is perfect for our family. Perfect crema, easy to use - honestly we couldn’t be happier !

Effortless Coffee at the Touch of a Button
We purchased our coffee machine just over a month ago and couldn’t be happier. With a wide range of options and the convenience of one-touch functionality, making a delicious coffee has never been easier. As with any coffee appliance, there’s a bit of maintenance involved — such as replacing the filter, deep cleaning, and regular rinsing or dispensing — but fortunately, most of these tasks can also be done with the press of a button. Overall, we’re very satisfied with our purchase and would definitely recommend it to others.

Wish I could return it.
In one week I went through 4 bags, 3 different roast levels, less oily beans good for superautomatics, and every shot is sour. If I grind finer very little coffee is dispensed and it seems most of the shot ends up in the drip tray. This happens on the lowest 2 grind settings. There is standing dirty water at the top of the brew unit at all times, and moisture builds up on the inside panel that doesn’t dry 24 hours later when I run it again. I empty the drip tray daily, and I still find moisture below it when it’s never overflowed. Frother is good, milk comes out at acceptable heat around 140 degrees for cappuccino with decent froth, but you can’t control froth level when you just want to add more milk (it seems you can really only do latte milk ad-hoc and not cappuccino. Something that could easily be fixed with firmware update but these aren’t connected so I’m not sure how that will work in the future. There is PFAS in the water filter which I didn’t realize before I bought. Cleaning and maintenance are the only bright spots so far, as I haven’t had one acceptable shot after tinkering with dose amounts, infusion levels, oz, and grind settings. I tried to return but since it was used I couldn’t and now I’m stuck. I don’t think I will ever buy a KA product ever again, or any of the whirlpool branded equipment after this.
