Functions but no Thrill

For $115, I expect this diffuser to arrive in a way that feels precious. When, I've ordered this item from Bloomingdales before, the Jo Malone Company packed it in a rugged matte black logo'd box tied with a white ribbon. Bloomingdales then wrapped that in their tissue paper and padded it inside a cardboard shipping carton. I realize that is an unnecessary amount of packing for our planet, but given how it arrived today, its not greener shipping practices that accounts for my disappointment. Today, the diffuser looked like a used item! The wicking sticks were tied with the Jo Malone standard black bow and had a flat piece of plastic wrapped like a loose taco around them--no real protection against breakage or grime. The heavy glass jar filled with the room scent was in a clear plastic bag knotted at the top. This arrived in a cardboard carton with a wad of brown packing paper inside. I'm SOOO glad it was for me and NOT a gift! It arrived and smells divine--but bad presentation.
