defect on the curve of the upper shoe

I wanted so badly to love this shoe, and to look it…it’s absolutely lovable! However, there is a serious defect. I have extremely thin thin and slender feet but the design on the top of the shoe is defective. I normally wear a 40, but I opted for a 41 to be safe. The corners were brutal on the upper part of my foot. I would not recommend this flat!,
