Great material but runs large, size chart is off

These pants are made of EF's crepe material that I've read people love. They are super comfortable yet dressy enough that I'll be able to wear them for work with a nice top. My only issue is the waist runs large. I am 5'3" and have a 25" waist which puts me in the XXS size, but the waist is still too big. It's a shame that even an elastic waisted pant in the smallest size is too large. I'm holding on to them for now and I'm going to see if my tailor can take in the waist without changing the overall fit.
