    The wild shrill of Black Francis coming through the radio in the August heat. Ripe fig, iris, coconut milk, tonka and dry blond woods.

    "Music is essential to life. I was born in a house of blues--dad's from Chicago. At 9 I went to camp on an island. Cool older punk kids showed me the Misfits and the Pixies. (One of those kids was actually comedian Rob Delaney).

    That summer was ruled by Doolittle. The provocative lyrics. The cackle of Frank Black. I absorbed it in the summer heat. August humidity. Young romance.

    Our Debaser scent is hot, humid, sexy.

    Green stems, deep purple fig, soft blond woods, a wet white ethereal musk, and the coumarin-vanillic note of tonka bean."

A scent as great as the song it's named for.

I tend to switch back and forth between scents depending on the time of year, but Debaser has become my daily go-to worn either on its own or, if I want a little more oomph, layered with I Don't Know What. I highly recommend it for folks who like citrusy, woody scents, and light floral perfumes rather than anything too sweet or cloying. It also has excellent staying power, but isn't overwhelming. You won't be bombarding people in the elevator.
