Love this machine

Awesome coffee machine, makes coffee bold and easy to use. Easy to clean too. Very happy with it.I love coffee, and I grind the beans separately. No mess.

Everything that we had hoped for in a coffee pot

We wanted a thermal carafe as the glass ones keep getting broken. Read several of the reviews prior to purchasing. Pleasantly surprised to receive such a great product with no issues as stated in other reviews. The carafe holds the temperature better than separate thermal carafes. Brewing is perfect and consistent. The lid lines up with the markings on the carafe for correctly seating the lid. The coffeemaker is easy to program. The only issue is the ability to completely empty the carafe with the lid on. This is easily solved by removing the lid to get the last drops of the delicious coffee to pour into your cup. These are easy solutions to the issues raised in others' reviews. Buy it - you'll love it.

One defect

There's a manufacturing defect that doesn't affect the coffee. This is my second Cuisinart coffee maker, the first with a thermal carafe. The lid of the carafe pushes up against the bottom of the basket so that the basket handle pushes up the top lid on the right.
