Beautiful but tight in chest

I wanted to love this dress. As I unpacked it, I was excited to try it on. However, I could not zip it up all the way on the bodice. I don't have an unusually large chest, size c cup. So not sure if runs small up top or what. I am 5'7 and 140 lbs. and I ordered a size 8.
