I bought two of these and they were great. I developed some great eating habits. The portions were perfect if I packed filling foods. Unfortunately my mother tried to be helpful and washed one in the dishwasher the tray and the outer box. It never closed the same, had to really press down to latch it and it leaked in every compartment after that. Definitely worth the buy but highly recommend hand washing. Plan to purchase a replacement and better guard my bentgo from helpful family members haha. I even purchased the kids versions for my kids and they have given me no complaints.

Not big enough if your hungry
I'm an adult and need adult portions. This case is not deep enough. This is only good for a child with snacks, not a proper lunch for an adult.

Lost removable dividers
We have five of these lunch boxes and keep loosing the removable dividers - we now only have one left! It doesn't look like you can order replacement dividers. Makes the lunch boxes much less useful without them.

PLEASE bring back the OLD DESIGN! These leak 😭
I've had 4 different bentgo boxes for my kids over 7 years. New ones were bought this year, the "adult lunch bentgo box", and these, with the single long closure, leak inside! With the 2 new boxes, canned pears leaked so much that the peanuts next door looked like they were swimming! And no, it was not so full, it overflowed when closing. The applesauce will also leak out of its spot. PLEASE bring back the OLD DESIGN!

Design flaw
I love these lunch boxes, but unfortunately this Modern version has a design flaw in that the closure tab breaks off repeatedly. My son uses one of these for his school lunch, and we've had 2 replacements since purchasing a new one in August 2025, despite it only being used for school and following all the care and use instructions.

Not Good
I bought four of these as I meal prep my lunches on Sunday’s. I’ve had two of them break at the hinges. I didn’t post a review when the first one happened as I thought it may just have been a manufacture error but to have two break is a bit ridiculous. The other thing I don’t like about it is that it isn’t leak proof. You can’t have something like yoghurt in one of the smaller compartments and a sandwich in another as the yoghurt will leak into the compartment with the sandwich in it. For a product that is as expensive at it is it is not something I’m happy with it be spending money on again.

I wish I didn’t buy these
These are terrible. Don’t get them they leak like crazy and warp in the dishwasher
