Led by sisters Colleen and Maggie Clines, Anchal Project is a Louisville, KY-based nonprofit making hand-quilted home goods that support the global empowerment of women.
Drawing inspiration from the timeless cabana stripe motif, this lightweight quilt is perfect for those with even the most sensitive skin. Each patchwork quilt is adorned with hand-embroidered accents and proudly signed by its artisan maker.
Although the quilt was the size, colors and pattern I had expected from the store site, I was terribly disappointed that there was NO cotton layer between the top and bottom fabrics of the quilt. In other words, it was only as heavy as two cotton sheets sewn together. Nothing in between. Reviewing the listing when I received the quilt, I saw no comment about the insides of the quilt. Yet there is rarely mention either when you have a 100% cotton quilt that does have some inner layer.
Beware, no inner layer for weight or warmth!
