This is the best
This pan is absolutely gorgeous! The perfect size, well built for a lifetime and not too heavy…but heavy enough to feel well crafted to withstand just about anything. My lifetime pan!

Defective quality at a first quality price
I purchased online an All Clad copper core saucepan a few months ago. After using it the first and only time, a brown stain appeared in the bottom of the pot after I boiled water for a cup of tea. I did not use all the water in the pot so I poured out what was left. I was surprised to see the brown stain left in the bottom of the pot. This has never happened to me before as I have a full set of All Clad and use the pots and pans daily. Since I did not return the pot within a month, All Clad refuses to honor my request for a full refund. I was sold a defective saucepan and am shocked at their inability to consider my case, especially when their saucepans are so very expensive. The stainless steel in this pot is thin and the copper is exposed. Consequently, I will not use the saucepan.

We’re really sorry to hear about your experience, and we understand how frustrating this must be—especially as a loyal All-Clad customer. What you’re describing is not typical of our cookware, and it doesn’t reflect the quality we strive to deliver. We’d appreciate the chance to review this further and see how we can help make it right.
Works for candymaking on induction cooktop
The perfect saucepan to make a single batch of English toffee or caramel sauce would be a bit smaller around and a bit taller. You need height for controlling froth, and enough ingredient-depth for your thermometer to work. But that pan (ideally, and formerly used at our house, the bottom of a Farberware double boiler) does not exist, if you have an induction cooktop. This one works beautifully to heat with induction heating, and I’m looking forward to using it for “normal cooking.” For candy, it has the right volume, and isn’t so wide that the candy gets too shallow for temperature measurement, but it does require some babysitting to avoid boil over. Also, the much-touted great-for-pouring rim is a terrible shape for clipping a thermometer on, and this is a current fad among saucepan designers, so good luck with finding anything else. I’d rather have straight sides and two pouring lips each halfway around from the handle. Still- this pot is the best I’ve come across for candymaking on an induction cooktop, and it’s a really great pot for quiet, even induction heating- and Allclad makes the ONLY ones I’ve found with magnetic sides as well as bottom, making everything a bit closer to cooking with other types of cooktop.

Love it
Bought to replace one of my 40 year old copper bottom pans. It's wonderful. Great quality. Cooks very evenly.

3 qt. Copper Core pan
I love the size & shape of this 2 qt. pan which I added to my Christmas present set. But I would love to have you resuscitate the 1 qt. pan w/ lid! Nesting is important to me. So sad I didn't know about you a long time ago! But I intend to get a lot of good cooking in before I will these pans to my granddaughter.

A great addition
I purchased this saucepan and I am so pleased as how it cooks so evenly and a joy to clean. I had the old copper pans from All Clad and although they are still going strong I am past the age of polishing them. This by far is my favorite pan to cook with.

Nice replacement for my LTD All-Clad pots.
I've been using All-Clad LTD pots since the 1990s. Never an issue with them. I'm in the process of switching over from LTD to All-Clad D5 and some Copper Core. I like the drip edge on the new school All-Clad. The LTD had nicer lid handles than the D5 and Copper Core. It would have been nice if the Copper Core came in a brushed stainless finish. If you don't want water spots, then give the polished stainless exterior a quick wipe. The Copper Core seems to be more even heating than my LTD pots. I can heat milk without it starting to scorch, as it did in my LTD pots. I especially like it for French vanilla ice cream custard bases. Both D5 and Copper Core have a more rounded bottom edge, and it makes cleaning much easier than the old LTD line. I'm very happy with the Copper Core as well as the All-Clad D5 line.
